Professor Cary Cooper

Top tips from Cary:

1. Prioritise people skills equally with technical skills when promoting managers.
2. Ask your team for wellbeing ideas to create ownership, rather than dictating from the top.
3. Intentionally create social events to rebuild the team cohesion lost in hybrid working.
4. Encourage proper lunch breaks to boost connection.
5. Lead from the front by actively listening to your staff and taking visible action on their ideas.

Calm Collective

Top tips from Calm Collective:

1. It doesn't take much. Small action can have a big impact. A few mindful minutes, a short walk, or a pause between tasks can gently reset your nervous system.
2. Step outside for fresh air. Even 5-10 minutes outdoors can reduce stress and improve mood.
3. Build in movement. You don't need a full workout - stretch at your desk, take the stairs, or go for a short walk.
4. Spend time outdoors where possible. Nature has a calming effect on the mind.

Gemma Donelly

Top tips from Gemma:

1. Remember everyone is carrying stress and pressure you cannot see and perhaps they are even unaware of. Being mindful of that in work improves communication, a key component for relational wellness within the workplace.
2. Everyone needs a support network to be skilful and resourced - what coaching is in place for leaders and middle management?
3. Create cultures people want to be a part of - team breathwork not only releases stress and improves wellbeing, it also cultivates belonging and connection, essential to solidify unity amongst teams.
